The Interdisciplinary Program of Hsinchu Teachers College was approved for the establishment in 2017 by the Ministry of Education and started to recruit students in 2018. Its goal is to cultivate research talents for interdisciplinary learning sciences and technologies. The curriculum focuses on cultivating students with the abilities of learning sciences investigative analysis, digital technologies, programming design thinking, critical thinking, group cooperation, problem-solving, writing communication, oral communication, and integrated learning. The specialty courses of this program are ‘learning sciences.’ Most courses are highly related to software and hardware equipment of the Research Center for Education and Mind Sciences. It is expected to leverage rounded education and equipment of education and mind sciences laboratories, including brain science laboratories, eye-tracking laboratories, VR/AR immersive learning technology equipment and etc., to cultivate students into outstanding talents dedicated to education and mind sciences researches.
